FAQ's Shipping & Returns

What is the difference between Cuban Heel Stockings and French Heel Stockings?

"Cuban Heel" stockings are squared off at the top of the ankle. "French Heel" stockings are pointed at the top of the ankle.

What is Denier?

Webster’s New World Dictionary defines Denier as a unit of weight for measuring fineness of threads of silk, nylon, etc. The smaller the number of Denier, the sheerer the hose.

How can I keep my hose from snagging and running?

Please remember that hose are very delicate and should be put on with gloves. We also recommend hand washing your hosiery. Never was your stockings or hosiery in the washing machine.

A washing technique recommended to us by a long time hosiery connoisseur is as follows: Take new hosiery from the package, wash them out in luke-warm water with a very gentle soap. Rinse well, Squeeze out well and place stockings, still wet, in a plastic bag. Put in the freezer and leave over night. Then...carefully remove frozen hose from bag and place into warm water in sink, allowing them to thaw out slowly and naturally (do not rush this process). The let them dry as usual. This technique should help increase the life of the hosiery by two, three or even four times. We were told this technique works and we could share this with our viewers! Good luck!

Do we always have all styles, colors and sizes in stock?

We try to keep all styles, colors and sizes in stock of all our items, however, sometimes some items are on back order. You will be notified promptly if an item you wish to purchase is not in stock.

How do I determine what size of hosiery to purchase?

Please know that some experimentation will be required until you find the size, color and style that best meets your needs. If you have any questions regarding sizing, please feel free to e-mail us.

What is the size difference in the Men’s French Heel Stockings and the Women’s French Heel Stockings?

The Men’s size are an outsize of stockings. They are made longer in the foot and length along with being fuller in the ankle, calf, knee, and thigh.

How do I measure for a corset?

By giving us your waist measurement, we make a corset that cinches you up to 4" smaller. EXAMPLE: If you send us a waist measurement of 34", then we will send you a corset in size 30". The corset could actually cinch your waist up by 4", however, the lacing in the back allows you to tighten or loosen to your comfort.
